Who you are agreeing with

Moni is operated by FinentLabs ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and FinentLabs governing your use of the Moni service, including the Telegram bot, any associated web properties at getmoni.tech, and all features, content, and functionality offered through them.

Updates to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. For material changes — including changes to pricing, payment terms, liability, or data handling — we will notify active users via the Moni Telegram bot at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Moni after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the service and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

AI-generated content

All responses, insights, categorizations, charts, summaries, and suggestions generated by Moni are produced by artificial intelligence language models. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or contextually inappropriate. You must exercise your own judgment when interpreting any AI-generated content. Do not make financial, investment, tax, legal, or other significant decisions based solely on information provided by Moni.

No bank connections

Moni does not connect to your bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, or any financial institution. All financial data in Moni exists because you entered it manually. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data you provide.

No regulated activity

Moni is not a regulated financial product or service under any jurisdiction. It does not hold, transmit, invest, or manage your money. It does not execute financial transactions on your behalf, provide credit, issue financial instruments, or act as a payment service provider. Moni is a personal record-keeping and organizational tool that helps you track information you voluntarily enter. No interaction with Moni creates a fiduciary, advisory, or professional-client relationship of any kind.

Plans and features

Moni is offered as a Free plan with limited usage and Paid subscription plans (Monthly and Yearly) with full access to all features. Current plan details, feature lists, and pricing are always available at getmoni.tech. The specific features, limits, and quotas included in each plan may differ and are as described on the website at the time of your purchase or renewal.

Pricing and taxes

All prices are listed in US Dollars. Applicable taxes — including VAT, GST, and local sales tax — are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout and may be added on top of the listed price. Prices may be displayed in your local currency at checkout based on your location.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price change via the Moni Telegram bot and/or email. Price changes take effect at your next renewal — they do not affect your current billing period. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel before your next renewal.

Free tier changes

The features, limits, and availability of the free tier may change at any time without notice. The free tier is provided as a courtesy to allow you to evaluate the service. It does not create an entitlement to any specific feature set, usage quota, or continued availability.

Paid feature changes

We may add, modify, or remove features of the paid service over time as the product evolves. If we make a material reduction to the core functionality of the paid service, we will provide at least 14 days' notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not agree.

How billing works

When you subscribe to Moni, you purchase through Paddle, who acts as the authorized reseller of the service. Paddle processes your payment, issues your invoice or receipt, and handles all applicable tax obligations. Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price at each renewal. Paddle will attempt to charge your original payment method on file.

Failed payments

If a payment fails at renewal, Paddle may retry the charge according to their standard retry schedule. If payment cannot be collected, your access to paid features may be suspended or your subscription may be cancelled. We are not liable for any disruption, loss of data access, or inconvenience resulting from a payment failure.

No direct payment handling

FinentLabs never directly accesses, processes, or stores your payment card details, bank information, or billing address. All payment data is collected and managed exclusively by Paddle.

How to cancel

You can cancel through the billing portal link in your Paddle order confirmation email, by visiting paddle.net, or by contacting us at hello@getmoni.tech. We will process cancellation requests received via email within one business day.

After cancellation

When your subscription ends, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data — including all transaction history, goals, budgets, and settings — is not deleted. You can continue to access your data under the free tier's limitations, and you can re-subscribe at any time to restore full access.

Cancellation is not deletion

Cancelling your subscription does not delete your data. If you want your data deleted, you must separately use the /clear command in the bot or submit a deletion request to hello@getmoni.tech. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data deletion.

Effect of termination

Upon termination for cause, your access to Moni is revoked immediately. You are not entitled to a refund for any remaining subscription period. Your data may be retained for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations and to defend against potential claims, after which it will be deleted.

Voluntary termination

You may stop using Moni at any time by ceasing to send messages to the bot and cancelling your subscription. To delete your data, use the /clear command or contact hello@getmoni.tech.

Wrongful termination

If you believe your access was terminated in error, contact hello@getmoni.tech. We will review your case and, if the termination was made in error, restore your access.

Our property

Moni — including its software, source code, AI prompts and configurations, algorithms, design, user interface, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks — is the intellectual property of FinentLabs or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the service.

Your data

You retain full ownership of all financial data, messages, and other content you provide to Moni. We claim no ownership over your data. By using the service, you grant FinentLabs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your data solely for the purposes of (a) providing and operating the service, (b) generating AI responses and insights for you, (c) maintaining the security and integrity of the service, including investigating abuse and enforcing these Terms, and (d) producing aggregated, anonymized, non-identifiable analytics to improve the service. This license terminates when you delete your data or when we delete it following the termination of your use.

Feedback

If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or other feedback about the service, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

Service provided "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinentLabs disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

No guarantees

We do not warrant that: (a) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (b) AI-generated responses, categorizations, calculations, or insights will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (c) the service will meet your specific requirements or expectations; (d) any errors or defects will be corrected; or (e) your data will be preserved indefinitely, though we make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain it.

AI accuracy

Moni uses third-party AI language models that generate responses probabilistically. These models can and do produce inaccurate, misleading, or nonsensical outputs. Transaction categorization, spending analysis, and any other AI-generated content should be verified by you and not treated as authoritative. You use Moni's AI features at your own discretion and risk.

Exclusion of damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinentLabs, its operators, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity; cost of procurement of substitute services; financial losses resulting from reliance on the service; or damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data — regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Liability cap

Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from or relating to the service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you have paid to us (through Paddle) in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) fifty United States Dollars ($50 USD).

Jurisdictional limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations in this section are applied to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Governing law

These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal resolution first

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@getmoni.tech and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any concern within 30 days of receiving your notice.

Jurisdiction

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

Class action waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class action, consolidated action, or representative action.

Consumer rights preserved

Nothing in this section limits your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence. If you are an EU consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and mandatory EU consumer protection laws apply regardless of the governing law chosen.

Temporary unavailability

The service may be temporarily unavailable due to: scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, updates, or deployments; outages or performance issues affecting our infrastructure providers (including Telegram, Groq, Supabase, and Railway); or events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, government actions, pandemic, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, or any other force majeure event.

Right to modify or discontinue

FinentLabs reserves the absolute right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the Moni service — in whole or in part — at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. This includes the right to shut down the service entirely and permanently. Where practicable, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active users and provide an opportunity to export data before a planned permanent discontinuation, but this is not a binding obligation and no failure to notify shall give rise to any claim or liability.

No liability for unavailability

We are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or inconvenience resulting from any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service, whether temporary or permanent, planned or unplanned, with or without notice.
